Chris I normally do not play the BSG mod in the stock game just the mission mod I will have to investigate this problem a little more. I will be putting out an updated ver. this week. With a little more instructions on what is going on and how to use it. Also players only have an option for fighters in the mission mod due to fighters have to be scripted into the missions as of right now. My Mod team=(me, myself and I)lol, Has been working on the mod every spare moment that I have. I now have all the ships added to the vesseldata.xml to include a cylon tanker, old basestar, cylon mining station and outpost. I am on vacation right now from work so I will be spending more time on completing this mod. I have update vengeance, and made two more mission to go along with the mod.
Enemy Ships:
will jump in when you trigger an event. If you follow your comms orders. instruction from fleet HQ this will lead you to a fight. vengeance is a basic mission to get you started it is based off Thom's End of Peace.
Starting the game:
1. start your server.
2. connect to server via client.
3. select CIC position and ready to play
4. go back to the server and click on start game.
this gives time for the client to load everything like the comms orders at the beginning of the game.
vipers basic
1st I scripted into the mission and early warning (multiple daris contacts) will pop up on the weapon console. it detects enemy ships that are with in 10000k this lets you know that the viper are getting ready to scramble. The vipers will scramble at 5000k.
BSG Fan:
As you I love BSG I watched it on the big screen when it first came out as the Movie then as a series all the way into the 80's seen all of the RDM mini series.
Just Starting Out:
This is my first mod that I have ever been involved in and had to learn every thing from 3d modeling to XML coding,
So please be patient will me. I think you will really loves this when it is done. And if you have a crew together they will too.
