Nexus - The Jupiter Incident
I am always surprised that this game is talked about so little here. I mean, Artemis' gameplay is one of the few examples of at least similar design. Same goes for Klingon Academy or Bridge Commander. Have you even heared from NEXUS?
The game's mechanics when it comes to weapons could very well teach Artemis a thing or too while Artemis's multiplayer component would be awesome in a game like Nexus. What we probably need is a hybrid of these two brilliant games.
In the meantime, we have this THIS and it will probably not even happen unless more people support it.

Maybe it's just me, but that seems nothing like Artemis and a lot like the Homeworld series.
Although from what I remember about Bridge Commander, that sounds more like Artemis.
