Captain needs a coke! *receives coke* Captain needs rum!

It was Analog Game Night at a friends house and I decided to invade with Artemis. I drove my 4 computers and 32 flat screen up to LA from Orange County. This was the first time I ever got to play. Everyone else was new to it except for one guy that tried it at some con. Everyone had a blast. We played siege mode with interesting terrain and level 5 difficulty. I think the highlight of the night was when I as Captain swung the ship around near a space monster to have it chase us to a Torgoth Leviathan and escort. The crew freaked out because I never told them what it was only that the info on it was classified and need to know. Half the party heard us and decided to come check it out. Good times.

Of the 4 computers we had:
1 Desktop - Main screen
1 Laptop - Weapons/Comms
1 Laptop - Science/Engeneering (<--mistake)
1 Netbook with Thustmaster Hotas X - Helm

Something of note. I had trouble getting the computers to hook up to the House router on wireless however my phone's mobile hotspot worked extremely well as a backup!

Yeah, FYI trying to double engineering with basically anything is usually a mistake. I'm Chief Engineer on our crew and I've tried picking up the slack on various stations, it just gets too much to handle.

Our setup where we have to double is usually to the effect of:

Main screen + Helm

Weapons + comms

Science + comms

Engineering + comms

You could probably get away with doubling science with most other stations as well, just not engineering. Outside of captain, our crew sees it as the 2nd hardest station to play (Actual results may vary :D)

Lessons learned, my friend. I think I found enough new fans that next time we get together people will bring their own computers.

Yeah, took us a couple of sessions to get enough people in but once you do it'll rock even harder.

We've set up our old WoW raid healer on engineering, he really takes to it.

That's funny, I tend to play the healer character in our D&D campaigns as well..

Probably helps that the rest of my crew are also Star Trek fans and being Scotish, there's no damn way they'd let me play any other station :D

Do you still play? I'm looking to join a crew or start my own...
