Artemis Role Play Server.

posted Nov 20, 2012 21:12:18 by Charlie
Hey everyone, this idea came up in the Artemis 1701 team. We were wondering if anyone would be interested in being apart of it if we did create it. Thanks!

A server we'd host and have different scenarios to run through, some long, lasting a few weeks (Playing once or twice a week) and some only lasting for the day. Each ship would have a captain to command it and would be fully crewed. Using our own custom missions for the scenarios.

Wow, this does sound good. Presumably you'd enable some kind of ship-to-ship communications? We don't play all that often, maybe once every couple of months, so I don't know how often we could join you.
"We should give him the send-off he deserves. He died saving us all. Prepare a Rocket-Shed for immediate launch."

Yes, definitely. I was trying to find some sort of communication that would have a futuristic theme, and even if you don't play all that often. You could drop in anytime as an officer on a ship. As most always, one of the positions will be open on a ship due to absence.

Secondly, where is this event?
Are you referring to TeamSpeak?

Comms for our ships will be on our teamspeak server yes, and it wouldn't just be one event. An ongoing story we would continue weekly.

We could pull that off, but because of conflicting schedules my crew can only meet once every few weeks or so..

Also, we're in Australia which makes things all the more difficult.

I would be down for being a remote engineer once a week. I'm also game for the RP, love that stuff!

I don't have a crew where I live, so I would have to join remotely and I would be able to even do a webchat to sit with the crew should a crew have a spare computer/screen to have me as. It would be like your calling down to engineering on the trek! :D

I would love to be part of this. What time zone would you be running it in? I'm from the UK so work on GMT.

Me and my crew would love to be a part of this. When will it all be ready?

This is something me and my friends would have a blast with. So please let us know if this happens or not.
