First mission last night...
...And I have never Nerded Harder!
At first I thought the graphics were a little lack-luster but then we engaged an enemy and EVERYTHING ELSE about the game made me not even care what it looked like! I never liked laptops but now I'm surfing the net looking for one that will run Artemis so I won't have to haul my desktop (tower + 22" screen) down to the local game store. We had our first event last night. We thought we'd do a mission or two and then discuss the game. Started mission one and all of the sudden it was five hours later. Holy Crap, this is awesome.

I've lost many a hour also, glad you enjoyed it.
That seems to be what happened with everyone. I introduced it to a friend of mine. He has never been into Star Trek and things of that nature so he went into it expecting he wouldn't enjoy it. It was just me and him, so I started him on helm and ran the other stations. Two hours later he was running weapons and science having a blast. Next thing you know we are in the car heading to join friends so we have a full crew. He is no hopelessly addicted.
