Shield Texturing

Sorry for the double post!

(Please do chastise me if my questions have been answered a thousand times, I have looked through most of the forum's posts going back into '11 for answers!)

Can we not texture the model that Artemis uses for it's shield impact? Does the engine do something fun effects-wise with the model in-game? Was going to try and skin it with something a little more complicated.
