Well got the core of the mod done. You will have the option to use a NPC battlestar group or player group or a little of both. The Battlestar group is made up of 4 capital ships.
Artemis = Battlestar: you have the option of 3 class of battlestars (This is always a players ship)
Aegis = Defender Class Escort Carrier
Intrepid = Berzerk Class Escort Carrier
Hartio = Cyngus Class Gun Star
The battlstar Artemis has 3 viper squadrons and 1 heavy raptor squadron which are activated (scramble) when any enemy vessel are detected on the map. The communication console can launch the squadron via assigned client keys and dispatch the squadron using the transmit comm. commands like VT-22 leader defend Artemis. The battlestar can op to use the comms to launch all the sqd of the battlestar group. via the console or have the players ship launch and control there own sqds. The Battlestar also has 1 Recon raptor to do recon of planets or patrol the system. The recon raptor when it is with in range of a planet will relay information about tha planet back to the group via Comms. The Battlestar also has 1 Search And Rescue raptor which can conduct SAR missions. Each ship has a shuttle to use for transports and cargo.
The Escort Carriers each have 2 Viper Squadrons and 1 Heavy raptor squadron which are controlled by the above mention systems.
Gunstar Has 2 heavy raptor squadrons also control the same way.
NAVCOMM: Stands for Navigational and Communication Station This act as a Air traffic controller The game master controls this as well as the Anchorages in the operating system. There are beacons near each planet to make it easier for navigation with in the system they are identified as station makers on the map If the planet is not habitable then the maker will have the name of the planet and NC next to it If the planet is habitable the the names of the largest populations centers will be above the maker. The Enemy can attack these makers if the maker is destroyed then the population center is destroyed.
Missions: Each system (mission) will have Multiple scenarios the Game Master can activate using what ever means they wish. The scenarios are both general and System (mission) specific. The Mod will come with Helios System (Mission) already in the Mission folder. All other (systems (missions) when completed will be placed in a zip file and a link will be posted for downloading.
Once I am completed with the Scenarios for Helios and documentation operations of the client consoles I will make the Mod available for downloading and testing .
