Windows 8
i am having issues getting artemis to run on windows 8, i can select the resolution and fullscreen or windowed mode, but as soon as the screen goes black and the program coding starts to flow down the left of screen, it gets half way through the list and says artemis crashed. i have tried changing compatibility to windows 7, vista, xp with and without service packs. trying to run artemis on windows 8 without making a partition. any ideas what i could have wrong?

Did you make sure you Installed the fill game first, then patched it? This issue happened to a couple of my friends when they only installed the 1.7 patch, and not the game version 1.65 first.
that is a VERY good point, i will definately try that when i get home to my laptop!!!

that was fantastic. that has seemed to do it altho i havent been able to try connecting to a server yet, but the game opens!! ty
