Logitech Extreme 3D Pro problem

posted Mar 10, 2013 07:06:40 by TaigiaReilly
Hello fellow Artemis fans,

One of our crew got a joystick of the kind listed in the title and we tried to use it for our helm. It worked fantastically for 30 minutes or so before it just stopped working. The input from it wasn't getting to the game and our helm had to go back to using the keyboard and mouse.
We tried using it again on a different PC and had the same issue.

Does anyone have an idea what went wrong and how to fix it?

I've never seen that happen. It sounds like a hardware failure in the joystick to me.
"Damn the torpedoes! Four bells, Captain Drayton!"

(Likely actual words of Admiral David Farragut, USN, at the battle of Mobile Bay. Four bells was the signal for the engine room to make full steam ahead).

When you get that failure, first thing to do would be to open up the joystick properties and see if you are getting the data correctly.
