Havoc in the Hamok Sector [SPOILER ALERT]

Captains Log, Stardate 201303.22

Engineer Kirby joined a slightly under-strength crew for Artemis's deployment to the quiet Hamak Sector. This was anticipated to be a break from frontline duty for the crew. The Torgoth were clearly not on-message with the TSN Intelligence briefing I received. By means of a previously unreported tech they deployed large forces to the sector under cover of the nebula.

Local TSN forces under the dubious leadership of Admiral Weeks left defence of the sector to Artemis. The sole exception to this dereliction of duty, were the valiant efforts of Terran patriot Captain Haynes and her crew of TSN Warsaw. While Warsaw engaged the invaders in the nebula, Artemis cut off the alien infestation at source to limit the incursion. Enemy target jamming technology forced us to adapt our battle tactics before we could bring weapons to bear and destroy them. Warsaw was last seen engaging enemy vessels in the nebula before contact with them was lost.

Once the tide of invasion had been stemmed we turned our attention to dealing with those enemies who had already made it through. First returning to Hamak base for resupply, harrying enemy forces en route, we used this as a base of operations. Slick battle drills from the crew allowed us to eliminate all the invaders and successfully hold the Hamak sector.

Well done and well reported, hancock steven.
"Damn the torpedoes! Four bells, Captain Drayton!"

(Likely actual words of Admiral David Farragut, USN, at the battle of Mobile Bay. Four bells was the signal for the engine room to make full steam ahead).
