Artemis in the Cincinnati Area?

posted May 19, 2013 23:33:12 by Mike_Substelny
Does anyone have a crew playing near Cincinnati? I have some associates who need to experience the game with a competent crew sometime soon.

I'm in the Cincinnati area, Florence to be exact. But know of ZERO other players in the area. I would consider myself fairly competent in the realm of Artemis, and could teach just about anyone to be the same.

How many people are we talking?

We're talking about two people, more if they bring dates or I drive down from Cleveland. I'll point them to this forum message. Thanks, Lucas.

Neat. Are they permanently in the Cincinnati area or would I be the only option for host?

They live in the Cincinnati area and one of them might be able to host.

Hi Lucas and Mike!

My name is Josh Haldeman and I'm one of the guys that needs to see Artemis more closely. I work at Cincinnati State and we have a video game club there. We may be able to coordinate hosting an Artemis event with them at the college if that works for you. Let me know what dates/times you would be available. I'm free Thursdays and Fridays this term.

Talk soon,
Josh

Friday afternoon/evenings would be fantastic for me. I'm currently working 3rd shift M-Th. if you have access to a rec center with any sort of large screen or projector that would be awesome.

I have access to the classrooms on campus at Cincinnati State. They all have 18 PCs and a hi-def projector. I just need to reserve the space and get an admin password to install the game. I'll look into that today and let you know what I find out.

Password wouldn't be necessary. Artemis can run portable, the game can be stored on a flash drive :)

That should work then! I've got a message into the gentleman in charge of the video game club. I'll let you know what I hear back.

Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Lucas,

Sorry for the delay! Took me awhile to hear back from the Video Game club guy at Cincinnati State. He tells me that they meet regularly on Mondays from 3-10 PM. Would you be available during that time anytime soon?

Let me know,
Josh

Today is Monday. Will you be playing this afternoon/evening? If you are short on players I might be able to join in remotely.

If you set it up for next Monday I might be able to come to Cincinnati State for part of the game.

Hi Mike,

This week is full of exams. I could probably do next week, but we'll need someone with some experience to help us get it up and running.

What's your schedule look like?

That Monday is probably not a possibility for me due to my summer camp, but I could be available on a Friday.

Let me contact the gamer club rep again, and see if they could do a Friday sometime soon. I'll keep you posted.
