*** Kaida Wars - Part 1, Defense of Delta Vega ***
******************************************************
The first in a (planned) three part campaign.

https://www.box.com/s/83qv9shj59tb980gykmd

Artemis has been dispatched to the Delta Vega sector, home of the Ice Planet of the same name.
Hostilities in the area have reached a boiling point and intelligence suggest an attack on that sector is imminent.
As such the local defenses have already been upgraded. Will it be enough?

***

My first mission in several months so feedback is appreciated.
Some of the features include (sorry, no spoilers);
-3 Defenders at each StarBase, which will ignore Artemis' commands.
-2 TSN Battleships which will accept Artemis' orders.
-Large fleets lumbering across the sector.
-Lots of mines to keep your Helmsmen on his/her toes.
-And a few other surprises you will have to play to see.

This mission is story driven so it is Heavy on Comms and Science.
The Captain will need to be quick on his feet a be able to prioritize multiple vectors at once.

Stay tuned for Part 2!

Yes!! New mission. Looks really cool. I will be trying this out as soon as I get a crew together.

Several machines came back with this error when starting the mission.

@LG; I had the same issue at one point while creating the mission. Same assertion error and all.
I found a re-install resolved but it never came back so I'm not sure what caused it (assumed I had a bugged install).
Did you ever get around it and get the mission running?

I had a good crew so I contemplated level 10 for a sec, then decided level 7. It had me sweatin' more than once. Great time, thx!!!

Is the starting difficulty stuck on 7 on purpose? I can't seem to change it higher or lower.

Yes, it is. I wanted to make sure it was a consistent difficulty to fit the scenario.
If you need to change it you can modify the mission file (right click and Edit or open in Notepad).

Fourth line down;
<set_difficulty_level value="7" />
