The easiest way to do this is to just open up the game twice. If you have two monitors you can put a game on each and watch both at the same time otherwise you can just start the server and the minimise it while using the second version to play.

+1 to Thedr. He nailed it. If you like to run fullscreen and only have one monitor do this:

1: Open Artemis launcher, select 800x600 window
2: "Start Server"
3: Open a second instance of Artemis Launcher, choose "Full Screen Windowed"
4: "Start Client"
5: Enter "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" for IP address and connect
6: Alt+Tab to the server window to start
7: Alt+Tab to client window to play

Only twice? Let's kick it up a notch!

I've managed to run one copy on the main screen, a second copy as the Observer mode, and a third on a touchscreen connected via a USB/VGA adapter as helm. Booyah!

Now if there were a way to bind a specific USB device to a single Artemis instance, then you could have one keyboard/mouse (or touchscreen digitizer) locked into a single copy of Artemis.

Result: an entire multi-station setup on a single multi-video-card PC. It's an Artemis LAN in a can!

VMware lags things a bit, so it's not an optimal solution. Works though.

@LawsonThompson I think I can do you one better, although without the touchscreen.

FIVE instances of Artemis running in 800x600 on one screen, with Open Broadcaster Software running in the background streaming 4 of the five screens straight to twitch.tv.

Screens showed as follows:

=Streamed=
Artemis Main Screen (Tactical)
Intrepid Main Screen (Tactical)
GM Console
Observer

=Not Streamed=
My dash that included Weapons/Engineering

Server was externally hosted, but I'm sure I could have handled the Server as well.
