Audio while Using my Phone as the Server

I've been playing around and decided to hook up my Droid4, which has an HDMI out, to the TV to act as the server. I see on the initial screen that sound and audio is downloading in the background and will play when available.

Using my Nexus7 tablet as Helm and Weapons, I flew around for a good 10-15 minutes, and the audio never started up. It was connected via wifi to a mid-range Cable internet connection.

I guess my question is, does anyone have experience using the Android client as a server and, how long did it take you to download the audio?

I know that the audio setup in general is working, as I can start up Netflix and both video and audio come through the connection.
